A REPORT TO THE COMMUNITY
In 2007, The Sharehouse worked on three initiatives:
-
To fund repair, conversion to bio-diesel and
signing for our diesel truck
-
To fund delivery service for our recipients
-
To enhance and grow our volunteer program
As a result of our efforts:
-
We have been running our truck with bio-diesel
fuel since October; many thanks to our generous anonymous donor for
making this conversion possible.
-
We have additional volunteers and are always looking for more.
This is an ongoing initiative;
please see below for information about volunteering at The Sharehouse.
HAVE A BLANKET OR HYGIENE DRIVE FOR THE SHAREHOUSE
Collect blankets or hygiene products for The Sharehouse. It's
a fun and rewarding activity for your school, church, civic organization or
work place. For details, call us at 206-767-5280 or email
SharehouseInfo@thechurchcouncil.org.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The Sharehouse is always looking for volunteers for the following activities.
-
Warehouse Guide: Directly assist
recipients and case managers in finding items and completing paper work
in our warehouse. Flexible shifts, two to three hours long on Tuesday or
Thursday.
-
Warehouse Assistant: Help us sort
and display small household items in our warehouse. Very flexible hours
on Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
For more information about any of these
opportunities, call Janet Leet, Volunteer Coordinator, at 206-767-5280 or email
SharehouseInfo@thechurchcouncil.org
